Serhiy Shkarlet is leaving the post of Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine – the information was confirmed by the media in the Cabinet of Ministers, the Office of the President and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Director of the Minor Academy of Sciences Oksen Lisovoy may head the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. This was announced on Friday, March 17, by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel.
“Instead of Shkarlet, the director of the Minor Academy of Sciences, Oksen Lisovoy, will be the Minister of Education. A very good choice,” he wrote.
In addition, the deputy noted that the change of the head of the Ministry of Education and Science will not be the only personnel rotation planned for the next plenary week.
It is known about Lisov that he has been taking part in hostilities for almost a year as a volunteer of the 95th brigade of the Air Assault Troops, while simultaneously acting as director of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
He was born in 1972 near Kiev. The son of the philosopher and human rights activist Vasily Lisovoy, who was repressed by the Soviet authorities, and the teacher Vera Lisova. He graduated from the Reshetilov Art School of Folk Crafts with a degree in ceramist and the Kiev State Institute of Culture with a degree in Library and Information Systems.
Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor. Fencing coach, teacher, specialist in library and information systems and Ph.D. has two sons.
Earlier, the media reported that Serhiy Shkarlet was leaving the post of Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. According to journalists, he himself will submit his resignation from office, probably on Friday, March 17.
In turn, the UP reports that State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk and MP from the Servant of the People Yulia Grishina also apply for the post of head of the department.
