The Drag Attack project is looking for drag queens and drag kings operating in the northeast and north of Brazil to compose the cast of a TV series. For this, the team opened a registration process, which will continue until next Monday (20), through the project’s Instagram page. The idea is to bring together a varied number of characters in both regions.
Drag Attack is a TV series with 12 episodes that seeks to show the creative process of drags, in its various faces. Who explained the objective behind the series was screenwriter Vinícius Gouveia. He participated in the Central do Brasil program this Friday (17) and told details of the production.
“We want to know who these artists are, who these people are behind drag queens and their different facets”, he said.
Vinícius also explained that, unlike other projects. Drag Attack is not a reality competition. The series seeks to show the essential activity of these artists and their bond with the community where they live.
The focus of the series on gathering participants in the north and northeast was a way for the project to give visibility to stories that are outside the big centers
“The figure of the drag queen itself is outside the big centers, it has less access. So, for the first season, we preferred to focus on these queens who are more distant and scattered across the country”, he explained.
You can find the complete interview with screenwriter Vinícius Gouveia in this Friday’s edition of the Central do Brasil program.

And there’s more!
The program was in Rio Grande do Sul today to follow details of the MST’s 20th Agroecological Rice Harvest Festival. Our reporter Rodrigo Chagas brought details of the event’s program and expectations regarding the presence of federal authorities.
While Rio Grande do Sul celebrates an important harvest of Agroecological Rice, Brazil took a step against healthy eating and approved the planting of transgenic wheat developed in Argentina.
Environmentalists criticize the decision, which was taken, according to them, silently by technicians appointed during the Jair Bolsonaro administration. That’s what our correspondent in Argentina Fernanda Paixão tells us.
The program Central do Brasil is a production of Brazil in fact. It is displayed from Monday to Friday, live, always at 12:30 pm, by Red TVT and by partner broadcasters throughout the country.
