MiG-29 from Slovakia will protect the sky of Ukraine
Volodymyr Zelensky highly appreciated the personal role of Eduard Geger in supporting Ukraine and invited him to Kyiv.
President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Slovakia for the decision to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. The head of state wrote about this on Telegram on Friday, March 17.
“Our Brussels agreements are working! In a telephone conversation, I thanked the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Eduard Geger, for a powerful package of air and anti-aircraft weapons, including MiG aircraft,” he wrote.
Zelensky noted that he appreciates Geger’s personal role in supporting Ukraine. He will be glad to continue the dialogue with him in Kyiv.
Earlier on Friday, it became known that Slovakia approved the transfer of 13 MiG-29 fighters, as well as the Kub air defense system for the needs of Ukraine.
The Kremlin has already reacted to this decision of Slovakia, as well as Poland, which yesterday announced the transfer of four MiG-29s to Ukraine.
