The head of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, claims that “the recruitment of mercenaries is going better than expected.”
Founder of a Russian private military company Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin announced plans to recruit 30,000 new mercenaries by mid-May. This is stated in the Telegram channel of his press service.
According to Prigozhin, PMC recruiting centers that opened last week in 42 Russian cities Wagner recruit an average of 500-800 people a day. However, sometimes the number of mercenaries reaches 1200 per day.
The leader of the “Wagnerites” said that “recruitment is going better than expected” and that “volunteers are in better physical shape than the prisoners” who were previously accepted.
“By mid-May, we plan that the number of fighters in the units will increase by approximately 30,000,” said the founder of the PMC Wagner.
