At least 464 children have died in Ukraine since the beginning of the war
The military administration, the National Police and volunteers were involved in the evacuation of children from the city.
The authorities were able to evacuate all the children from the town of Chasov Yar, which is located in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. This was stated by the head of the military administration of the city, Sergei Chaus, according to the Telegram channel of the Operative ZSU on Sunday, March 19.
“There are no children in Chasovoy Yar, the last children were taken out the day before yesterday. With the joint efforts of the military administration, the police, the White Angels, we did this work. It was difficult, painful, but we did it,” Chaus said.
As of March 7, less than 4,000 civilians remained in Bakhmut itself, including at least 38 children. At the same time, before the war, the population of the city exceeded 70 thousand.
Recall that in early March, Ukraine approved the forced evacuation of children.
