Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly visited the occupied Mariupol. On Sunday, March 19, TASS was informed with reference to the press service of the Kremlin.
It is noted that Putin flew to Mariupol by helicopter, and then driving a car, making stops, traveled around several districts of the city. In the Nevsky microdistrict, Putin allegedly spoke with the townspeople.
“The head of state also inspected the coastline of Mariupol in the area of the yacht club, the theater building, memorable places of the city,” the message says.
It is also reported that during the trip, Putin was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, who reported to the president on construction work in the captured city and its environs.
However, the Kremlin has not yet released any photographs or video evidence of Putin’s trip to Mariupol.
Recall that on Saturday Putin arrived in the occupied Crimea. He timed his trip to coincide with the ninth anniversary of the illegal pseudo-referendum on the territory of the Ukrainian peninsula.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reacted to Putin’s visit, recalling that he was wanted by international justice for committing crimes.
