Ukrainian Armed Forces hold back Russian attacks in Donbas
The Ukrainian military inflicted 10 strikes on the Russian invaders, including two anti-aircraft missile systems.
The Russian aggressors made yet another unsuccessful offensive in the Donbass and suffered losses. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening summary on Sunday, March 19.
It is indicated that today the enemy launched one missile and seven air strikes, carried out nine attacks from the MLRS, including at a residential building in the village of Kamenskoye, Vasilyevsky district, civilian infrastructure facilities where civilians were killed.
On Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions operating conditions remained unchanged. The enemy shelled the areas of settlements Klyusy, Oleksandrivka, Chernihiv region; Kharkovka, Starikove, Volfino, Stepok, Sumy region; Deep, Krasnoye, Volchansk, Kolodeznoye, Kamenka, Krasnoye Pervoe, Dvuhletnoye, Zapadnoye and Kondrashovka of the Kharkiv region.
On the Kupyansky and Limansky directions the enemy continued to attempt to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of the settlement of Novoselovskoye. They shelled the areas of the settlements of Vesele, Kupyansk, Krakhmalnoe, Peschanoe and Berestovoe in the Kharkiv region and Novoselovskoe, Nevskoe and Belogorovka in the Luhansk region.
On the Bakhmut direction the enemy did not stop trying to capture the city of Bakhmut. Enemy attacks were repulsed in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Ivanovskoye, Bogdanovka and Grigorovka. Vasyukovka, Bakhmut, Grigorievka, Ivanovskoye, Konstantinovka, Zheleznoe and a number of other settlements of the Donetsk region were subjected to enemy shelling.
On Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Shakhtyorsky directions the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Kamenka, Avdeevka, Severny, Berdichi and Maryinka. Kamenka, Avdeevka, Nevelskoye, Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Bolshaya Novoselka and Neskuchnoe of the Donetsk region were subjected to enemy shelling.
On Zaporozhye and Kherson directions the enemy was on the defensive. He carried out shelling in the areas of the settlements of Gulyaypole, Belogorye, Malaya Tokmachka, Kamenskoye, Zaporozhye region, as well as Kherson, Mikhailovka, Gavrilovka, Dudchany, Ivanovka and Dneprovskoye.
In turn, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck at the Russian anti-aircraft missile system (the type is being specified), six strikes at the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers, as well as their ammunition.
Missile troops and artillery units hit the enemy Tor anti-aircraft missile system and two occupiers’ concentration areas.
Recall that during the day on March 18, 710 Russian soldiers were “minused”. The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the war is almost 165 thousand killed.
Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the Russians tactically failed the operation on Bakhmut.
