The Ukrainian military continues to successfully hold the defense of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak reports on Telegram.
According to him, the plans of the Russian army to capture the city are failing.
“The defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the East, their plans to occupy Bakhmut are now failing. Ukraine is ahead,” he wrote.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that the attacks in the northern part of Bakhmut had been repulsed. The Russian Federation is trying to conduct offensive operations in the Donetsk region. Bakhmut remains the epicenter of hostilities.
