The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of preventing and combating corruption. This was reported by the press service of the State Agency on Monday, March 20.
The document was signed by the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development, Mustafa Nayem, and the director of NABU, Semyon Krivonos.
The memorandum provides:
• coordination and cooperation in the field of preventing and combating corruption;
• development of internal control mechanisms to prevent bribes and other corruption offenses in the agency;
• ensuring unhindered access to the building of the agency for NABU employees with the presentation of an official ID and familiarization with documents and other material media for the prevention and investigation of offenses attributed by law to the jurisdiction of NABU.
“The memorandum on NABU is not just a formal document on cooperation. The document implies an unprecedented level of trust and cooperation. In fact, the memorandum provides the employees of the National Bureau with full access to all documents of the agency,” the head of the State Agency, Nayem, emphasized.
Krivonos expressed confidence that the memorandum would facilitate the effective exchange of data and help promptly respond to any attempts to misappropriate funds.
