The US State Department announced the allocation of a new, 34th package of assistance to Ukraine for $3,500 million. This was reported on the agency’s website.
This package will include ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, as well as HARM anti-radar missiles, anti-tank grenade launchers and M777 howitzer rounds.
Also in the new assistance package, the United States will transfer to Ukraine Riverine military river boats, which are used for the delivery and landing of troops.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression, the United States has transferred weapons worth $32.5 billion to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden, who visited the Ukrainian capital on the eve of the anniversary of the Russian invasion, announced new deliveries of “critical equipment”, including artillery ammunition, anti-tank systems and air defense systems.
