Two enemy informants detained in Odessa
The enemy planned to use the information received to prepare air strikes on Odessa, but the SBU counterintelligence officers timely exposed both informants.
In Odessa, two enemy informants were detained, reconnaissance of the positions of the Ukrainian air defense. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
It is reported that Russian agents collected intelligence on the locations of units of the Defense Forces and strategically important critical infrastructure facilities in the region, in particular information on the movement of convoys with military equipment, as well as the positions of air defense systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy planned to use the information received to prepare air strikes on Odessa, but SBU counterintelligence officers timely exposed both informants and detained them while trying to transfer intelligence information to the Russian curator.
“According to the investigation, the enemy minions are two local residents, among whom is an employee of the municipal enterprise “Heat supply of the city of Odessa”. It is established that the Russian special service remotely attracted them to tacit cooperation against Ukraine. They came to the attention of the enemy because of their pro-Kremlin views which were repeatedly expressed among those around them. Messengers were used to communicate with the aggressor, and intelligence was transmitted in the form of electronic and video files describing the surrounding area,” the report says.
Both defendants were notified of suspicion and taken into custody.
