Vasily Nebenzya is ready to lay out the “whole truth” about Ukrainian children
Russia proposes to discuss the “real situation” with Ukrainian children at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
Aggressor country Russia plans to hold an informal meeting of the UN Security Council in early April on the issue of deportation of Ukrainian children. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzya, Associated Press reports on Tuesday, March 21.
According to the diplomat, Russia scheduled a meeting of the UN Security Council allegedly long before the Friday decision of the International Criminal Court, which issued warrants for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. This is due to the fact that in April Russia chairs the Security Council.
Nebenzya noted that the Russian Federation proposes to discuss at a meeting, tentatively on April 6, the “real situation” with Ukrainian children. He called the issue “completely overblown.” According to him, the children were taken to Russia “because they wanted to protect them from the danger that military operations could bring.”
Nebenzya was asked if Russia plans to return the children. “Of course, in a safe environment. Why not?” the Russian ambassador replied.
Recall that on March 17, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children’s Ombudsman Maria Alekseevna Lvovo-Belova. They are suspected of involvement in the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.
Some countries have already announced that they will arrest Putin if he dares to appear on their territory.
And in Ukraine, negotiations with Russia have been ruled out as long as “Putin’s face” represents this country.
