Oksen Lisovy is fighting as a volunteer in the 95th brigade of the Airborne Forces and is acting director of the National Center of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The Educational Committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported Oksen Lisovoy’s candidacy for the post of Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the subcommittee on higher education, Yulia Grishina, on Telegram on Tuesday morning, March 21.
“The Education Committee of the Verkhovna Rada has just supported the appointment of Oksen Lisovoy as the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. Unanimously,” she wrote.
As you know, Oksen Lisovyi has been the director of the National Center of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine since June 10, 2010.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has been fighting as a volunteer in the 95th Brigade of the Airborne Forces and continues to act as director of the MAS.
Recall that on March 20, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed former Minister of Education Sergei Shkarlet. The Parliament also dismissed Pavel Ryabikin from the post of Minister for Strategic Industries, and Mikhail Fedorov from the post of Minister of Digital Transformation.
On the same day, candidates were already submitted to the Rada to appoint Fedorov as Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Kamyshin as Minister for Strategic Industries.
