Prince William with the military
The visit, planned by the government, is intended to show solidarity with the fighters supporting Ukraine.
Prince William made a secret trip to Poland to personally thank the Polish and British military who support Ukraine. It is reported by Sky News.
In particular, he visited a military base in Rzeszow, 90 km from the border with Ukraine. There, the eldest son of Charles III met with the Minister of Defense of Poland and members of the Polish Territorial Defense Forces to learn about the support they provide to our country, praising their “passion” and “determination to defend common freedoms.”
He also met with British soldiers stationed in the area and asked about their experience in Poland and support for Ukraine.
In addition, Prince William met with Ukrainian refugees at the accommodation center.
Also as part of the two-day trip, Prince William will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw. The gesture echoes the late Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s wreath-laying visit in 1996.
Earlier it was reported that Kate Middleton visited a military training ground in Northern Ireland, where they conduct demining training for Ukrainian military personnel.
