The security service has collected an evidence base on the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Igor Kastyukevich.
A deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who is considered the curator of the occupied part of the Kherson region, was notified in absentia of suspicion of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
“The security service has collected an evidence base on the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Igor Kastyukevich. He contributed to the spread of the occupation regime in the temporarily occupied part of southern Ukraine. The official personally coordinated the process of organizing and holding an illegal referendum on the “joining” of the Kherson region to Russia,” the message says.
The SBU reports that the person involved is the deputy head of the pro-Kremlin United Russia faction and is a member of the inner circle of the top military-political leadership of the Russian Federation.
“In the period from September 23 to September 28 last year, he was in the temporarily occupied Kherson, where he provided the “necessary” results of a fake plebiscite. It was on his instructions that the representatives of the election commissions, together with the armed occupiers, bypassed the houses of local residents and forced them to “vote” in favor of the Kremlin. Also, the Russian MP filmed and posted in his publics staged videos about the distribution of the Russian “humanitarian aid” in the region,” the message says.
The suspect is on the territory of Russia, measures are ongoing to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine.
