Most state-owned enterprises will be transferred to the management of the State Property Fund
The Cabinet of Ministers in 2023 plans to transfer the majority of state-owned enterprises to the management of the State Property Fund.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the majority of state-owned enterprises in 2023 will be transferred to the State Property Fund, after which they can be privatized.
It is reported that the Cabinet in 2023 plans to:
transfer the majority of state-owned enterprises to the management of the State Property Fund;
after analyzing their activities, either privatize or provide them with a new level of management according to OECD standards;
resume “big privatization” to stimulate investment and speed up the liquidation of insolvent enterprises, in particular, update the list of strategic enterprises that are not subject to privatization;
develop a strategy for managing businesses confiscated from sanctioned entities;
optimize the structure of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
“Our strategy is to minimize the state’s share in the economy while maintaining state control in sectors that are strategic and important for Ukraine’s security,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
