To avoid the risk of forced eviction, the week involved negotiations between the Tiradentes 2 occupation and the Popular Movement for Housing (MPM) with the president of the Curitiba Chamber, also with the Human Rights Commission, as well as dialogue with different parliamentarians, in the which the occupants demand a negotiating table with the company Essencias/Solví, responsible for the sanitary landfill in the Industrial City of Curitiba (CIC).
Over the weekend, the Popular Movement for Housing (MPM) called on social organizations to form a solidarity brigade with the occupation, setting up a permanent brigade camp in the area.

Faced with the possibility of complying with the repossession action required by Essencis, on Saturday (25), militants from the MPM, from the organization Povo pelo Povo, among others, set up tents in the space built by the community. The idea is to alert society to the risk faced by families and support them. If necessary, resist: “We’re hoping they don’t come, but we’re prepared to resist”, says one of the local leaders, during a conversation.
The encampment also fulfills, like the occupation itself, the role of denouncing possible environmental irregularities:
“We are setting up our resistance camp, a resistance brigade, against the eviction of Tiradentes 2, which is being sent by Essencis, a dump that operates in a totally irregular way, failing to comply with the most basic environmental norms, even so trying to expand its activities. territories, increasing their garbage dump, trying to remove these hardworking people, people united in a community for two years, taking care of the environment, trying to revitalize the spring that borders the dump”, says MPM militant Ricardo in a video.

On Sunday, the 26th, there were movements in the community kitchen. Around the wood stove, donations from different popular movements arrived throughout the afternoon.
One of the supporters who visited the community was the Redemptorist priest Joaquim Parron, creator of the successful “SOS Vila Torres” campaign. “Families who need this house, with a dump coming up next door, we call people to this fight so that Tiradentes 2 stays”, says the religious leader.
