Herman Galushchenko discussed with the Minister of Energy of Belgium the ways of strengthening cooperation
Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko met with Belgian Energy Minister Tina Van der Straten in Brussels and thanked Belgium for the humanitarian assistance provided.
Ukraine received over 36 tons of equipment from Belgium to restore the energy infrastructure damaged by Russian shelling. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko met with Belgian Energy Minister Tina Van der Straten in Brussels and thanked Belgium for the humanitarian assistance provided.
“Our European partners understand the importance of preparing Ukraine for the autumn-winter period and are helping Ukraine with equipment and fuel,” Galushchenko said.
The meeting discussed issues of cooperation in the field of renewable energy, integration of the Ukrainian and European energy markets, as well as possible cooperation in the field of cyber protection of energy systems.
It is reported that, in particular, Ukraine offers international companies to use Ukrainian underground storage facilities to store natural gas.
In addition, Ukraine is counting on the great potential of its own gas production and is considering its participation in joint gas purchases with the EU to form reserves.
