The Minister of Justice and Public Security Flávio Dino (PSB) will appear this Tuesday (28) before the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJC) of the Chamber of Deputies to clarify his performance in front of the portfolio.
Among the subjects are the changes in arms policy, the measures adopted after the criminal acts of January 8, the visit he made to Complexo da Maré, in Rio de Janeiro, and the racist behavior and criminalization of poverty related to the episode, as well as a balance of the first months of work in the ministry.

Dino was invited to attend the Chamber in response to requests filed by parliamentarians. One of them is authored by deputies Gervásio Maia (PSB-PB), Orlando Silva (PCdoB-SP) and Rubens Pereira Júnior (PT-MA). Others were from deputies Carlos Jordy (PL-RJ) and Caroline de Toni (PL-SC).
Zema asks for a 258% increase in his own salary
The governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), sent a bill to the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais (ALMG) requesting an increase in his salary, that of the deputy governor and the secretaries and assistant secretaries by up to 258% from of the next day 1st.

The bill still provides for two other increases for the coming years. In this case, the governor’s salary would reach R$39,717.69 in February 2024 and R$41,845.49 in February 2025.
Judge places Tacla Duran in witness protection program
The new judge responsible for the Lava Jato operation, Eduardo Appio, from the 13th Criminal Court of Curitiba, included lawyer Rodrigo Tacla Duran in the federal government’s witness protection program, this Monday (27).

In the deposition, Duran claimed to have paid US$613,000 to lawyers linked to Rosangela Moro, which was part of a total of US$5 million required to close a plea bargain agreement with the Federal Public Ministry. By not fulfilling the rest of the installments, Taclan Duran said that he had his preventive arrest decreed by Moro.
The negotiation would have the endorsement of former prosecutor and federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR) and would have been presented by lawyer Carlos Zucolotto Júnior, partner of Rosangela Moro.
