The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, showed good humor to refute a lie propagated by Bolsonarist federal deputy André Fernandes (PL-CE) in a hearing at the Constitution and Justice Commission of the Chamber of Deputies this Tuesday (28). “I’m going to tell my students as an anecdote, as a joke,” said Dino, who is a law professor, when refuting a false accusation by Fernandes.
Dino’s speech, which caused laughter in many of those present at the audience, was in response to the statement, made by the Bolsonarist deputy, that the minister would respond to hundreds of lawsuits (277, to be precise). The source of the alleged information? The website jusbrasil.
What Fernandes doesn’t know, or pretended not to know, is that the mere mention of any citizen’s name on the website actually shows documents linked to courts across the country. However, this does not mean that the people cited are necessarily those who are responding to lawsuits.
“O jusbrasil, deputy, when they put the name (of a person), the name of the person responding to the process does not appear. The name of the person who asked for the right of reply in court appears, the name of the person who was required in a request for an answer appears, the name of the person who registered the candidacy appears, the name of the person who rendered accounts to the Electoral Justice appears, the name of the person who was a witness in a lawsuit”, listed Dino.
