During the year of the war in Ukraine, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov became the first billionaire in Mishustin’s government. He got rich by selling real estate to the company of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, and his children live in apartments for a quarter of a billion rubles, according to a joint investigation by Sobesednik and We Can Explain.
In February 2023, Manturov, who oversees the military-industrial complex in the Russian government, sold a 480-meter apartment in the Dom na Tishinka premium-class residential complex to Intermars, which, according to investigators, is associated with the current Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko. The amount of the transaction, according to journalists, could be more than 400 million rubles. At the same time, the profit of OOO “Intermars” is 205 thousand rubles.
“Manturov’s income for the year is about 700 million rubles. Taking into account the deal for the sale of an apartment, he can become the first vice-premier in a decade – a billionaire,” the investigators specify.
In turn, the children of Manturov turned out to be the owners of two apartments in the elite RedSide residential complex in the Krasnaya Presnya area. The Russian elite and show business stars live there. The total area of the property owned by Evgeny and Leonela Manturov is more than 300 sq. m., and its cost exceeds 250 million rubles. They became the owners of the apartments shortly after coming of age, and therefore the Deputy Prime Minister did not indicate them in his declarations.
In total, the Manturov family owns property worth over 15 billion rubles. The official has a huge estate in Gelendzhik (he owns three plots of land there with a total area of almost a hectare). The mother and children of the Deputy Prime Minister own several plots in the Klyazma near Moscow. Also among the assets of the Manturovs, investigators indicate the Chekhoff Moscow Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in the center of Moscow and a dairy farm with a land plot of 358 hectares in the Tver region.
