In the next six months, they do not predict a shortage of electricity in Ukraine
Now all types of power plants operate in the UES of Ukraine: electricity production is sufficient to cover consumption and even for insignificant imports.
In the next six months, the United Energy System of Ukraine will have enough electricity to cover demand. Volodymyr Kudrytsky, head of the board of NPC Ukrenergo, stated this on air of the telethon.
“The Ukrainian energy system is part of the European one, which means we will be able to import electricity if we do not have enough of our own – and this is a very important factor in the country’s energy security. Therefore, in the spring and summer months, I think we will have a balanced situation in the energy system,” – Kudritsky said.
The head of Ukrenergo added that power engineers should be well prepared for next winter – to resume the operation of those power units at thermal and hydroelectric power plants that were damaged, and to mobilize all the resources of the energy system as much as possible.
According to Kudrytsky, now all types of power plants operate in the IPS of Ukraine: electricity production is enough to cover consumption and even for insignificant imports.
Earlier it was reported that electricity consumption increased in Ukraine.
