Biden spoke about Putin’s plans to move nuclear weapons
The American leader commented for the first time on Putin’s statement about plans to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus.
US President Joe Biden told reporters that he was concerned about Russia’s plans to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus, CNN reports.
At the same time, he noted that this has not yet been implemented.
“They haven’t done it yet, unless something happened while I was in the helicopter. Of course it worries me. What have I been talking to you guys about for the last year? It’s a dangerous conversation,” the president said, adding that it worries him.
Recall, on March 25, Putin said that Moscow had agreed with Minsk on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. He argues that this “will not violate the obligations under the START.”
