The CPI of the anti-democratic acts of the Legislative Chamber of the DF (CLDF) will hear, this Thursday (30), Jorge Henrique da Silva Pinto, who is a lieutenant colonel of the Military Police. The military from the Federal District was summoned because he made several warnings to superiors about the threat of invasion of the National Congress on January 8th. Jorge Henrique worked in the coordination of Institutional Affairs of the Undersecretary of Intelligence of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP/DF).
On the agenda of this Thursday’s CPI meeting there are seven requests to be voted on, among them the summons of PM/DF Major Cláudio Mendes dos Santos, requested by Deputy Fábio Félix (PSOL). Requests for information from the Government of the Federal District, the Brazilian Army, the Ministry of Justice, the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) and the Ministry of Tourism will also be voted on.

The president of the CPI, Deputy Chico Vigilante (PT), informed that he had asked the Attorney General of the CLDF to issue an opinion on the possibility of the Commission being able to summon members of the Brazilian Army or not. “If we cannot summon members of the Army, we will invite them”, said Vigilante, noting that these summons or invitations took place regardless of rank, observing only their involvement in the acts of January 8th.
Ex-Secretary of Public Security Júlio de Souza Danilo, former Commander of Operations of the Military Police of the Federal District Jorge Eduardo Naime, former Executive Secretary of the SSP/DF Fernando de Sousa Oliveira and former Undersecretary of Intelligence have already been heard. from SSP/DF Marília Ferreira Alencar. Former secretary Anderson Torres has already been summoned, but since he was arrested on suspicion of collaborating with the acts, he cannot be coercively conducted and so far has not accepted to participate in a CPI hearing.
