US expands sanctions against Russia
Aviatech and Aviazapchast were included in the list of companies acting contrary to the foreign policy interests of the States.
The US authorities impose export restrictions on 11 companies, including two Russian ones – Aviatech and Aviazapchast. This is stated in the message of the US Department of Commerce.
Thus, only 11 business entities from different countries fell under US sanctions.
“These eleven organizations have been identified by the US government as acting contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States,” the statement said.
In particular, we are talking about companies from Myanmar, China, Nicaragua and Russia. Among them are the Russian firms Aviatech and Aviazapchast.
They made the list, along with others – Miya Win, Myanmar New Era Trading Company and Suntac Group – as those who “sell, purchase and maintain military equipment that allows the military regime of Burma to carry out human rights abuses, as well as brutal air attacks that lead to to the death and injury of civilians.”
Earlier it was reported that Russia began to pay four times less on its debts due to sanctions. Due to international sanctions, debtor countries have suspended payments on state loans.
