Recruitment for the Offensive Guard has been extended so that there are reserves
“Several tens of thousands” of people from all regions of Ukraine expressed their desire to join the Offensive Guard.
The units of the Offensive Guard are already almost formed and ready for battle, however, against the backdrop of a large number of people wishing to join the ranks of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, it was decided to extend the recruitment. This was announced on Friday, March 31, on the air of the telethon by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko.
He specified that reserves would be formed from the additionally recruited people.
“Eight brigades have been formed, and today we are ready as part of the Defense Forces for active offensive measures on the territory of our state. And, of course, in parallel we are ready to carry out stabilization measures on this territory,” Klymenko said.
He stressed that “several tens of thousands” of people from all regions of Ukraine expressed their desire to join the Offensive Guard.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs expects to train, equip and arm volunteers within a few months so that they also join the assault activities in the future.
Recall that in early February, the Ministry of Internal Affairs began to form assault brigades of the Offensive Guard. New units that volunteers can join are aimed at strengthening the Defense Forces and liberating the occupied Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea.
