Cops establish the circumstances of the incident and the origin of the grenade
A resident of Chernihiv received bodily injuries, from which he died at the scene.
In Lvov the night before, an explosion thundered in an apartment building. The RGN grenade previously exploded, the regional department of the National Police reports on Saturday, April 1.
“On March 31, at about 10:30 p.m., the operational line 102 received a message about an explosion that occurred in one of the dwellings in an apartment building on Zamarstynovskaya Street in Lviv,” the report says.
As law enforcement officers established on the spot, a grenade, probably RGN, exploded in the apartment.
“As a result of the explosion, the guest, a 44-year-old resident of Chernihiv, received bodily injuries, from which he died at the scene, and the owner of the house, a 52-year-old Lviv resident, was hospitalized with serious injuries,” the police said.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under articles on illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives, as well as premeditated murder (part 1 of article 263, part 2 of article 15, part 1 of article 115 (of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The maximum punishment provided for by the sanctions of the articles is imprisonment for up to 15 years. The investigation is ongoing.
Recall, on March 22, a man died in Kyiv, in whose hands a grenade detonated. The incident took place in Kvitnev lane.
