Zelensky and Macron met at the G7 summit
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked France for the important decisions on military and humanitarian support for Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with French President Emmanuel Macron during a working visit to Japan to attend the G7 summit. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian leader on Saturday, May 20.
Zelensky thanked France for the important decisions on military and humanitarian support to Ukraine, and also noted the importance of France’s support for the fighter coalition and the country’s participation in a training mission to train Ukrainian pilots.
Zelensky noted the priority of the implementation of the Ukrainian formula for peace and the involvement of as many countries as possible in this process.
He also told Macron about his visit to Saudi Arabia for the Arab League summit.
“Vladimir Zelensky thanked Emmanuel Macron for starting the implementation of the agreements reached during his visit to France, which took place on May 13, and for continuing defense cooperation,” the message says.
Recall, on May 20, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Japan for the G7 summit in Hiroshima. The president has already met with the prime ministers of Britain, Italy and India.
