Zelensky and Scholz met at the G7 summit
The President of Ukraine and the Federal Chancellor coordinated their positions on the eve of the meeting of the G7 summit.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz during his visit to Japan to attend the G7 summit. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian leader on Saturday, May 20.
It is indicated that the politicians discussed the first results of the visit of the President of Ukraine to Germany on May 13.
Zelensky expressed gratitude for the powerful defense assistance that Ukraine is now receiving from Germany. He also noted the importance of implementing the points of the peace formula.

Meanwhile, Scholz wrote in Twitter: “I’m glad you’re here, Zelensky. We stand for Ukraine – as long as it takes!”
Recall, on May 20, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Japan for the G7 summit in Hiroshima. The Ukrainian leader has already met with the President of France, as well as with the prime ministers of Britain, Italy and India.
