Japan will help in the restoration of Ukraine
The leaders of both states discussed further steps to help Ukraine from the Japanese government, in particular, to strengthen the logistical capabilities of the Ukrainian defense forces.
During a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, the parties agreed to hold a Ukrainian-Japanese conference on the restoration of Ukraine and the involvement of private businesses in this process, the press service of the President’s Office reports.
It is noted that the leaders of both states discussed further steps to help Ukraine from the Japanese government, in particular, to strengthen the material and technical capabilities of the Ukrainian defense forces.
In addition to the agreement on the Ukrainian-Japanese conference, the possibility of Japanese investments in the production of hydrogen, lithium batteries, cars, power equipment, as well as in the construction of overpasses and railway infrastructure was also discussed.
“The head of state stressed that Ukraine is counting on Japan’s support for holding a global summit on the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula,” the message says.
Zelensky also thanked the head of the Japanese government for the invitation to take part in the G7 summit and noted the importance of Japan’s support for the sanctions policy against Russia.
Recall that the clinic of the Japan Defense Forces will treat the wounded Ukrainian military.
