Wanted criminal from Sumy detained at border
The man was wanted by the police as part of criminal proceedings related to the threat of murder, robbery, banditry and cruelty to animals.
Border guards at the Shegini checkpoint found a wanted citizen of Ukraine. The man was traveling to Poland as a passenger in a minibus. This was announced on Tuesday, May 23, by the State Border Service.
It is noted that during the passport control in relation to a 62-year-old resident of Sumy, a database on the wanted list by law enforcement agencies worked.
As it turned out, this citizen is wanted by the National Police of Ukraine in the framework of criminal proceedings related to the threat of murder, robbery, banditry and cruelty to animals.
The wanted person was handed over to the competent authorities.
Recall that the border guards detained “evaders” on the border with Slovakia.
It was also reported that the border guards blocked two escape channels for “evaders”.
