Alba to leave Barcelona after 11 years at the club
The Catalans plan to radically renew their squad and will not renew the contract with Alba.
Jordi Alba will leave Barcelona at the end of this season. This is reported by a well-known insider Fabrizio Romano.
Note that the legendary defender has a valid agreement with the Catalans, which, however, ends just in this offseason. The management of the “blue garnet” does not plan to offer the player a new contract, so he will leave the team as a free agent.
Alba, 34, has been with Barcelona since 2012. During this time he played 309 matches and scored 16 goals. This season, the defender has played 27 matches for the Catalans in all competitions, in which he scored 2 goals and 3 assists.
