UAV launches were recorded from the northern and southern directions. Probably, the enemy wanted to attack the western regions of Ukraine.
On the night of May 25, Russian troops launched 36 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones in Ukraine, all of which were destroyed by the Defense Forces.
It is noted that launches of loitering ammunition were recorded from the northern and southern directions.
“Probably, the enemy had the goal of attacking critical infrastructure and military facilities in the western regions of the country,” the military said.
Anti-aircraft missile troops, fighter aircraft, mobile fire groups in the areas of responsibility of the air commands South, Center, West and air defense of other components of the defense forces participated in repelling the attack.
“With joint efforts, all 36 Shaheds were destroyed,” summed up the Air Force.
Recall that on Thursday night, the Russians attacked Kyiv with kamikaze drones, but air defense did not allow strikes on the capital – all enemy air targets were destroyed.
In addition, three enemy drones were shot down in the Mykolaiv region and one more in the Odessa region.
