Lunin may leave Real Madrid
Journalists learned that the head coach asked management to sign a new second goalkeeper.
The future of Andrei Lunin at Real Madrid is still in question. According to Relevo, the head coach of Madrid Carlo Ancelotti is very dissatisfied with the actions of the Ukrainian at the last frontier. The Italian specialist even asked the club management to change the team’s second goalkeeper.
It is noted that during the season, the confidence in the 24-year-old Ukrainian decreased. All because of the uncertain performances of Lunin during the injury of Thibaut Courtois, which increased doubts about his figure.
The Real Madrid coaching staff is already monitoring various goalkeepers to replace the Ukrainian. Among the candidates are Robert Sanchez from Brighton, Yassin Buna from Seville, Paulo Gassaniga from Girona and David Soria from Getafe.
However, the Real Madrid leadership does not want to change Lunin. Firstly, Madrid do not want to spend extra money on a new goalkeeper, but concentrate on the right transfers: Jude Bellingham, forward or left back.
Secondly, the leaders of the Spanish club highly appreciate Lunin’s professionalism and do not want to let him go unless he asks for it himself.
The only conditions under which the “royal club” will agree to release the Ukrainian is the desire of the footballer to leave or if there is a financially profitable opportunity.
Lunin will meet Real Madrid next week to decide his future.
