Japan imposed sanctions against 17 individuals and 78 legal entities from Russia. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
Sanctions included the Skoltech Foundation, the Lavochkin NPO, the Central Research Institute Elektropribor, the All-Russian Research Institute Signal, the Advanced Research Foundation, the Khabarovsk Radio Engineering Plant, the Ryazan Plant of Metal-Ceramic Instruments, and the Ural Plant of Civil Aviation.
The list also includes Commander of the Russian Airborne Forces Mikhail Teplinskiy, Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces Sergey Karakaev, Head of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Nikolai Parshin, Lieutenant General and Chief of Staff of the Russian Group of Forces “Zapad” Lieutenant General Mikhail Zusko, General Director of the Aerospace Concern defense “Almaz-Antey” Yan Novikov, host of the TV channel “Russia 1” Olga Skabeeva and Russian-appointed officials from the annexed “DPR”, “LPR”, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
The assets of these organizations and individuals will be frozen. Export sanctions have also been imposed on 80 companies.
The Japanese authorities also banned the provision of architectural and engineering services and the export of goods that help strengthen the industrial potential of the Russian Federation.
At the end of March, Japan banned the export of drones, steel and aluminum from Russia. Spacecraft and components for them, aircraft and ship engines, boilers, excavators, bulldozers, electrical equipment, optical equipment, optical fiber, toys and more also fell under export restrictions.
Prior to this, restrictive measures were introduced against 48 individuals and 94 organizations from the Russian Federation. The black list then included the head of the Kalashnikov concern, Alan Lushnikov, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Viktor Goremykin, and PMC Wagner.
