On May 26, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Headquarters, where they heard reports on the situation at the front and discussed the equipment of offensive brigades.
“Held a regular meeting of the Headquarters. The commanders of the OSUVs reported on the operational situation at the front and in certain areas. The members of the Headquarters considered in detail the pace of equipping offensive brigades with equipment and everything necessary. They analyzed the prospects for increasing the domestic production of scarce ammunition,” the head of state said.
The meeting also discussed the latest enemy air strikes and how to make defense against them more effective.
“We will do everything possible, everything impossible, to accelerate the delivery of more and better air defense systems to Ukraine – this is literally a daily issue for working with partners,” Zelensky said.
According to the President, this week there is also significant progress regarding modern aviation for Ukraine, which will become a key component of our defense in the air. “We are moving forward in defense modernization faster than could have been foreseen six months ago,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
