The governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha announced a drone shot down by air defense forces. He wrote about this in his telegram channel.
According to him, the incident took place at 02:30 at night. The drone was shot down in the Ferzikovsky district. There were no casualties or damage.
On August 3, Shapsha reported six downed drones in the region. He did not specify in which direction the drones were flying.
The Kaluga Region borders, among other things, on the Moscow Region.
On the eve of the morning, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that a drone tried to attack the Russian capital, but it was shot down by air defense systems. In Vnukovo, temporary restrictions were imposed on the reception and release of aircraft. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also reported on the destruction of the drone. According to the agency, the drone tried to attack objects in the Moscow region and was destroyed on the territory of the Podolsky district.
