The commander of one of the units of the Russian Armed Forces said that the losses of the 5th separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the year have exceeded 1,700 people killed.
As he said in an interview with RIA Novosti, the corresponding figures are indicated in the document of the headquarters of the Ukrainian brigade, which were at the disposal of the Russian forces.
“We have at our disposal a document from the headquarters of the 5th assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It follows from it that the connection lost 1,704 people irretrievably,” he said.
According to the Russian commander, this brigade took an active part in the hostilities in Artyomovsk and in the area of the settlement of Kleshcheevka.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that Russian troops destroyed up to 210 military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction.
