The South Korean embassy in Japan received emails threatening to blow up the building of the diplomatic mission.
“A man who introduced himself as Soma Watarura sent a threatening letter last week, after which we reported this to the police,” Yonhap News Agency said, citing an embassy official.
The diplomatic mission requested to strengthen the security measures of the Japanese police.
On November 30, an explosion occurred at the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid. One employee was injured, he received minor injuries. According to reports, an explosive device hidden in the parcel went off.
It was also reported that the Spanish police on November 24 intercepted an envelope sent to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez with a “pyrotechnic substance”.
