Russia has grown significantly richer over the past year, despite the Ukrainian conflict and attempts by Western countries to strangle its economy.
George Glover writes about this in his article for Business Insider.
According to him, Russia was able to improve its welfare, but the US lost $5.9 trillion, and North America and Europe lost $10.9 trillion. Glover noted that Moscow was able to add $600 billion to its own assets.
It is indicated that the number of Russian millionaires has also increased by 56 thousand in 2022.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Reshetnikov, noted that only the strongest Russian economy could survive the sanctions and remain in the ranking of the five largest economies in the world in terms of purchasing power parity in the World Bank rating.
