American soldier Travis King, who crossed the demarcation line from the Republic of Korea without permission in July and was taken into custody in the DPRK, will apply for asylum, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reports.
The message leads TASS.
During the investigation, King stated that he had a distaste for humiliation and racial discrimination in the US troops and decided to go to the DPRK.
The agency writes that King became disillusioned with the “unfair American society.”
Earlier it was reported that the Permanent Mission of the DPRK to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva called for condemning the spread of US nuclear weapons.
