The special forces of the Russian Armed Forces during a special operation in Ukraine use large-caliber ASh-12 assault rifles, the High-Precision Systems holding company of the Rostec state corporation reported.
“The 12.7-mm ASh-12 assault rifle and the 12.7-mm large-caliber sniper rifle (VKS) have been adopted by special forces units of law enforcement agencies,” RIA Novosti quoted the message as saying.
It is noted that ASh-12 and VKS were highly appreciated by the operating units.
It is also reported that there were no comments on these types of weapons from the special forces.
In July, Vladislav Lobaev, the head of the weapons developer Lobaev Arms, announced that production of a new St. John’s wort self-loading sniper rifle was starting in Russia.
