In Russia, OBI home goods hypermarkets may start operating under the new Domus brand, the Vedomosti newspaper writes, citing the Rospatent database.
According to the newspaper, OBI Franchising Center LLC has filed an application with Rospatent for registration of this brand for all 45 classes of the International Classification of Goods.
The newspaper reminded that according to the deal with the German OBU GmbH, the new owners in Russia must rename the hypermarkets.
It is noted that Domus is not the only option. Other names include HOBI, OBBI, IdeaFix, Inhouse and QBI.
Earlier it was reported that the Federal Antimonopoly Service approved the application of the group of investment and construction companies MAX to acquire the OBI business in Russia.
