Ukrainian refugees, housed in a hotel in Ireland, rioted because the authorities refused to feed them for free.
Sunday World columnist Gabia Gatavetskaite wrote about this.
According to the newspaper, the Irish government has announced a mandatory payment for meals by Ukrainian refugees in the amount of €10 per adult and €5 per child.
“This decision was rebuffed by residents of the Breaffy Woods hotel near Castlebar,” the article says.
According to Ukrainian refugees, the food does not meet “healthy standards” and the proposed cost.
At the same time, the authorities stated that the hotel management is acting in accordance with the new instructions and if Ukrainians do not pay for food, they will not be able to stay in this place of residence.
Previously, a refugee from Ukraine was left homeless after arriving in the UK.
The Telegraph also reported that thousands of Ukrainian refugees would leave Britain due to the expiration of visas.
