Former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that Western F-16 fighters do not meet modern standards and pose a danger to Ukraine.
He wrote about this in social networks X.
“These are old gliders. They underwent modernization in the late 90s, which allowed them to fly an additional 5,000 hours,” said Ritter.
According to him, of the fighters planned for delivery, only 24 aircraft remain suitable for flights.
“They are all considered unsafe by US and NATO standards. A suicide trap, ”added the ex-intelligence officer.
Earlier, Ukrainian director Igor Lopatyonok said that the delight of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky was created solely for the formation of a news story.
