Governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) testified this Monday morning (21), at the Electoral Corregedoria-Geral Eleitoral of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), in Brasília, for the action to investigate abuse of power by former president Jair Bolsonaro in the acts of September 7, 2023.
According to the TSE press office, Governor Ibaneis Rocha was heard as a witness in investigations into alleged irregularities in the September 7 acts. Also according to the TSE, the events held in Brasília and Rio de Janeiro, in the midst of the electoral campaign, are being investigated.
The Federal District’s Secretariat for Communication confirmed that Ibaneis gave testimony as a witness and added that the process “runs under court secrecy”. The TSE will also hear the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), and the former minister and senator Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI), among others.
