Honored coach of Russia Sergei Yelevich believes that the former defender of the Moscow basketball club CSKA Alexei Shved should go to the Belgrade Red Star team.
“I don’t want to say that he will become a star there, but he will help them very well. I am convinced of this. If he starts playing in the Euroleague again, it will be very good. I will be happy for him, ”Match TV quotes Elevich.
He recalled that Shved was a very productive player in the Euroleague.
“I would like to note that recently he has added very cool in the transfers. He is an extraordinary player, so if he is invited by the Euroleague club, then, of course, ”added Elevich.
On the eve it became known that the Swede can continue his career in the Belgrade Red Star. The 34-year-old Russian basketball player is negotiating with the Serbian club. The current coach of Red Star is Dusko Ivanovic, with whom Shved worked at Khimki in the 2016/17 season.
The Russian in the 2022/23 season as part of CSKA scored 16.1 points and gave 7.6 assists on average per game in the VTB United League.
Earlier, Shved said he did not know where he would continue his career after leaving CSKA.
