CSKA Moscow forward Vladislav Kamenev is sure that hockey is much more popular than football in Russia.
“I am always in favor of talking, because there is only football on television. Everyone noticed this, we need to fix it, do something about it, we need to invent something new, shoot more. Hockey, I think, is the number one sport in Russia, ”TASS quotes Kamenev.
The 27-year-old forward offered to compare the achievements of the Russian national hockey and football teams.
“As our captain said: look who won how much, everything is immediately clear,” added Kamenev.
The collection of the Russian national hockey team has one gold, two silver and one bronze Olympic medals. Five victories at the world championships. Three times the national team took second place, five times – third. The Russian national football team has one bronze medal of the European Championship.
Earlier it was reported that CSKA beat Dynamo in the match of the Moscow Mayor’s Hockey Cup.
