Bolivian President Luis Arce said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Bolivia welcomes the accession of new countries to the BRICS and hopes to join the association as soon as possible.
“We are very pleased that various countries are now joining the BRICS,” the president said.
According to him, the increasing number of countries with the bloc means “great economic opportunities.”
“This is evidence that the block is successful,” Arce added.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Bolivian President Luis Arce Katacora discussed the implementation of the country’s application to join the BRICS.
