Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic Andrei Marochko said that the Ukrainian command sent pontoon equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Kharkiv in order to force the rivers.
His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
As the interlocutor of the agency said, a military convoy of engineering troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived at one of the Kharkov civilian enterprises.
“Most of the equipment is made up of a pontoon park based on the KrAZ vehicle,” Marochko said.
According to the expert, the pontoon-bridge park can make a crossing over a river more than 50 meters long.
Earlier, Marochko said that the Ukrainian security forces have strengthened the checkpoint regime in the Kharkiv region.
